During the course delegates will explore practical ways in which the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) apply to their workplace, and in so doing reach a clear understanding of the ways in which chemical risks are controlled.

This one day course is intended to provide staff with an understanding of the risk assessment process, with particular reference to hazards and risks that are likely to be found in their organisation.

During the course delegates will identify hazards and risks associated with their work as well as the likely reduction in risk resulting from the introduction of additional risk controls.

This one day course is intended to provide delegates with the knowledge and the skills to manage those who work at height.

During the course delegates will receive broad based training in the basic skills and techniques of working at heights to national standards.

This one day course is intended to provide delegates with the knowledge and the skills to manage workplace noise.

By the end of the course attendees will also have received sufficient knowledge to enable them to develop and manage a noise control strategy for their workplace.

This one day course is intended to provide delegates with the skill and knowledge to undertake Portable Appliance Testing.

During the course delegates will understand the technical and legal factors that underpin the development of an effective PAT testing programme as well as gain skills in conducting PAT tests on a variety of 230V electrical items.

During the course, delegates will learn of the ways in which they should manage their safety whilst working in potentially explosive atmospheres.

This one day course is intended to provide delegates with the practical skills and knowledge to document and undertake Mechanical and Electrical Isolation.

During the course delegates will be asked to demonstrate an understanding of the techniques by isolating off-line equipment. Use will also be made of accident testimony and reports from the Piper Alpha and Grangemouth Oil Refinery accidents.

This 4 or 5 day course is intended to provide delegates with the basic skills and knowledge to help them manage health and safety in the workplace.

This one day course is intended to provide delegates with an understanding of why health and safety is important, and how they can make a real difference to the wellbeing of themselves and others through changing their behaviour.

During the course delegates will meet the government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training and is a 100 percent match to the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.
